Akshar
Akshar is a model school in the semi-rural outskirts of Guwahati, Assam. They practise the Meta-teaching model of education which consists of training and informally employing older children as teacher/coaches for younger students, under the supervision of a senior teacher. They teach students how to teach, making them better learners in the process. Since implementing the Meta-teaching model in 2017, they have witnessed high attendance and performance, virtually no bullying and zero dropouts among their 100 students.
